At Woodstead, our mission is to create puzzles that inspire connection — to ourselves, to nature, and to the present moment. We believe puzzles can be more than entertainment: they’re invitations to slow down, engage the senses, and rediscover joy in simple things. By offering beautifully crafted wooden puzzles, we aim to bring moments of quiet creativity into everyday life — away from screens, distractions, and rush.

OUR STORIES

Woodstead began as a small creative studio — a vision brought to life by a love of craftsmanship, meaningful objects, and the art of puzzling. Founded by a maker with a laser cutter and a passion for detail, we’ve grown from sketching designs at home to producing 300–500 figured puzzles each month. Still, every piece we cut carries the same intention as the very first: to offer something tactile, thoughtful, and lasting. We take pride in being a local brand, crafting everything in-house, with a focus on quality over quantity. Each design tells a story — of nature, wonder, or whimsy — and every puzzle is a new chapter waiting to be assembled.

OUR APPROACH

We design with care and produce with precision. Every Woodstead puzzle is made from sustainably sourced wood and laser-cut for accuracy and durability. Our puzzles feature irregular cuts and “whimsy” pieces — custom-shaped elements that match the theme of the artwork, adding a playful and unexpected dimension to the puzzling experience. We value quality above all. No mass production. No shortcuts. Just thoughtful design, tested and refined, batch by batch. Whether it’s a 100-piece puzzle or a 500-piece challenge, each one is built to be used again and again — or passed along as a keepsake. We also offer custom puzzles, allowing customers to turn their own photos, illustrations, or memories into timeless, tactile gifts.
